A gorgeous spring morning saw the arrival of 18 Jeeps to the Victoria Park Racecourse - the start line of this year’s President’s Challenge. An excellent turnout.

The contenders lined up and set off at three minute intervals, complimentary chocolate bars in hand!
The Challenge presented contestants with 30 questions plus 3 bonus questions while taking a scenic journey through Adelaide and the hills to all sorts of weird and wonderful places.
These included finding Ayrton Senna’s handprints along the Grand Prix track, travelling through East Tce and having a guess at the value of one of Adelaide’s most prestigious residence’s, up to the Burnside lookout viewing area (where the view is now obstructed by the too tall trees), travelling up old Norton Summit Rd, though some very scenic trails, finding out how far away London is from the Big Rocking Horse in Gumeracha, and finally ending up at the Birdwood National Motor Museum!!
Here we were allowed to exclusively park on the grounds and had our own bbq area where we were able to eat lunch under the shade of the big gum trees.

Questions were collected and calculated and there were three teams that had 29 answers plus 2 bonus questions correct – how’s that for a close competition!!! The only deciding factor between the teams was the value they put on the house near the beginning, and with that saw Grant and Simone (with friend in tow), take out the top prize. A very close second were the Delaney’s, and third were the Steele’s!!
The rest of the day had people wandering through the museum looking at all the different cars, and wondering ‘Where’s the Jeep?!!’
